Hello and welcome. I'm Eddie Robison. I got my start in visual effects over 29 years ago as a 3D artist. Switching specialties a few years later, I became proficient at compositing and have earned nominations for both a VES (Visual Effects Society) Award as well as a Primetime Emmy Award. After running a VFX department for ten years, I struck out on my own at the beginning of the pandemic. I now work from my home office in Las Vegas, having recently moved here from Southern California where I worked as an artist and a supervisor for several different VFX houses over the years. I now work as a key vendor for high profile television and streaming productions. For a one man show I can do a large volume of shots, but some sequences are just too large for me to do on my own. That said, I can still be an important part of the work. In this case I was asked to make "animatics" for a very complex series of shots for season 4 of Outer Banks that were entirely CG. My animatic was given to Scanline VFX as a road map and they did the shots based upon what I laid out with the client. My animatic is on the right side and the very nice work from Scanline is on the left. Check it out!

This video is a selection of the "Invisible VFX" I completed for season one of The Runarounds. I literally did hundreds of shots like this and because the effects are tough to spot, I've included the original plate and then a reveal of what I did to complete the shot. There are also written descriptions of the scope of work in the matte.
